Services

My classy writing respects readers. It’s clear and connects while it helps convert leads to save you time and give you peace of mind. I specialize in newsletters, but I also write and rewrite:

I don’t just write and edit. I offer ideas and brainstorm with you to start a conversation with your prospects. And I can help you rework existing content to improve your results to get more out of it. Beyond that, I offer writing coaching and consultations.

Who I work with

I’m selective about the people I work with and the projects I take on. Agreeing on price is part of that: my craftswomanship isn’t for sale for five cents a word or even for $50 per piece. More importantly, we should be able to work well together. I respect myself and my clients and believe in the “golden rule.” If you can give me more than a few days to send you a draft, are organized, value your writers, and are a good communicator, we should get along well.

I’m an educated native English speaker and an experienced writer who has the skills. I’m not a content mill.

Terms

Pricing and payment

My flat rates vary by the scope of the project. They’re not hourly, so they offer you more value. With every project, I offer two rounds of revision free based on the original assignment. I charge an extra fee for major edits that change the scope of the project.

For small projects ($1,000 or less), I ask for payment in full upfront. Otherwise, upon receipt of your signed approval and 50 percent upfront deposit, I’ll begin work. I’ll invoice you for the balance upon completion of the first draft (before revisions), and give you 30 days to reply with any changes. I’ll forward my draft for your review on or before any agreed-upon deadline. And I’ll work with you until you’re satisfied with the final copy.

I accept payment by PayPal or a check made out to “Classy Writing, LLC.”

Our agreement

I’ll give you a proposal that outlines the scope of the project, at no cost and no obligation. If we agree to work together, I will work under a contract either you or I provide.

How I work with you

If we’re a good fit, we’ll discuss:

  • Your project
  • Pricing and payment methods
  • Our availability
  • Our preferred communication styles
  • Our roles and responsibilities
  • A deadline
  • Any questions you have

I’ll ask questions to understand more about the scope of your project. I may request a specific brief. I’ll review any materials you give me to better understand how I can help you resolve your problems and meet your goals.

If necessary, as a “check in” point, I can create an outline of the piece before I write it. For editing only, I would ask for a sample of the piece to assess the amount of work involved.

I can’t guarantee specific results, but I guarantee you’ll be satisfied with my well-written copy that follows the latest content marketing practices for your industry.
